The right vehicle depends on two numbers: how many passengers are travelling and how much luggage you are taking. Book too small and someone, or something, will not fit; book too big and you pay for space you do not need. This guide explains what each of our four vehicle classes carries, with examples, and how child seats and bulky items work.
What each vehicle carries

You book a class of vehicle rather than a particular model. An MPV 6 takes up to 5 passengers and an MPV 8 up to 8, not counting the driver. So if you are searching for a “7 seater” or an “8 seater” taxi, the MPV 8 is the one you want.
What counts as luggage
- Large case: one medium-size checked suitcase, with height plus width no more than 158 cm (62 in), weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb).
- Hand bag: cabin-size luggage, about 56 × 45 × 25 cm (22 × 17.5 × 9.85 in).

Examples: which vehicle should I book?
- A couple with two suitcases and two cabin bags: a Saloon, or Business Class for extra comfort.
- A family of four with three large cases: an MPV 6. A Saloon seats four but takes only two large cases.
- Five friends with a large case each: an MPV 8. An MPV 6 seats five but takes only three large cases.
- A group of six to eight: an MPV 8, which takes up to 8 passengers with 8 large cases and 8 hand bags.
- More than eight people: the MPV 8 is our largest vehicle, so call us on +44 1582 800333 before you book.
You do not have to work this out alone: enter your real number of passengers, large cases and hand bags on the quote form, and anything too small for your party is greyed out automatically.
Child seats
Baby and child seats are free. Tick the Baby / Child Seat option when you book and tell us the child’s age in the notes. They are subject to availability, so book early if you need one.

Will I get exactly the car I booked?
We always aim to send the class of vehicle you booked. Occasionally, depending on availability, you may be sent a larger one. Once your booking is confirmed, we email you your driver’s name, mobile number and vehicle registration.

How many people fit in an 8 seater taxi?
Up to 8 passengers, not counting the driver, with up to 8 large cases and 8 hand bags.
Which vehicle is best for a family going to the airport?
It depends on the luggage more than the number of people. A family of four with two large cases fits a Saloon; with three large cases, book an MPV 6; with four or more, an MPV 8. Add free child seats when you book.
Is a bigger vehicle more expensive?
Yes, an MPV costs more than a Saloon for the same journey, but one MPV is usually simpler than two cars for a group. The quote form shows the fixed price for each vehicle that fits your party.
