Heathrow has four passenger terminals: 2, 3, 4 and 5. Whichever one you are flying from, a pre-booked taxi takes you from your door to the right terminal at a fixed price. This guide explains how to find your terminal, how drop-off and pick-up work at Heathrow, and what your fixed price already includes.
Which Heathrow terminal do I need?
Your terminal depends on your airline, and occasionally on the flight. Most British Airways flights use Terminal 5. For every other airline, check your booking confirmation or the airline list on Heathrow’s website a day or two before you travel, as airlines sometimes move between terminals.
When you book with us, choose your terminal. On the way home, add your flight number so we can track your flight.
Being dropped off at Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5
Each terminal has its own drop-off area outside departures. Heathrow charges £7 every time a vehicle enters a terminal drop-off area, at any time of day (according to Heathrow Airport, checked October 2026). If a friend or family member drops you off, they have to pay it online or by phone by midnight the next day.
With a pre-booked transfer you do not pay it separately: the drop-off charge is already included in your fixed price, along with any congestion charge on your route.
Being picked up at Heathrow: where to meet your driver
At Heathrow, picking passengers up on the terminal forecourt is not allowed. Your driver meets you at an agreed point in the terminal or at the terminal’s car park, which Heathrow signs as Terminal Parking (formerly Short Stay).
- With Meet & Greet (an optional £10 extra), your driver waits for you inside the arrivals hall and walks you to the car.
- Without it, you meet your driver at the pick-up point. Before your pickup, we email you your driver’s name, mobile number and vehicle registration, so you can call them when you are through arrivals.
- Flight tracking: we track your flight, so if it lands early or late your pickup time moves with it at no extra cost.
- Free waiting: every airport pickup includes 45 minutes of free waiting from the time your flight lands, enough for passport control and baggage on a normal arrival.

Taxi to Heathrow Terminal 5
Terminal 5 handles most British Airways flights. It has its own drop-off area and its own Terminal Parking car park, so tell us it is Terminal 5 and your driver will take you straight there. The same fixed price, drop-off charge included, applies to Terminals 2, 3 and 4.
How early should I leave for Heathrow?
Start from your airline’s advice on how early to arrive, then add the drive and some spare time for the M25, which is often busy. For example, Milton Keynes to Heathrow is about 55 miles and usually takes a little over an hour in normal traffic. For early-morning flights, book days ahead for the widest choice of vehicle; you can book up to 45 minutes before your pickup at the latest.

- Business Class (Mercedes S-Class or similar): up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases and 2 hand bags.
- MPV 6 (Seat Alhambra or similar): up to 5 passengers, 3 large cases and 2 hand bags.
- MPV 8 (VW Transporter or similar): up to 8 passengers, 8 large cases and 8 hand bags.
Child seats are free on request, subject to availability: tick the Baby / Child Seat option when you book and tell us the child’s age.

Common questions
Can a taxi pick me up outside arrivals at Heathrow?
Not on the forecourt: Heathrow does not allow pick-ups there. You meet your driver inside the arrivals hall with Meet & Greet (£10), or at the agreed pick-up point, usually the terminal’s car park a short walk away.
Is the Heathrow drop-off charge included?
Yes. Airport parking and drop-off charges are included in your fixed price, so there is nothing extra to pay on the day.
What if my flight into Heathrow is delayed?

Can I cancel?
